APGA’ll win 2015 elections in Imo – Umeh

Chief Victor Umeh
National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Chief Victor Umeh, on Monday said the party would win the general elections in Imo State in 2015.
“We are very eager to rebuild the party in Imo against 2015,” Umeh, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, said.
He added that doing so had become imperative following the defection of Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha to the just registered All Progressives Congress.
He said the party’s National Executive Committee unanimously resolved to dissolve the Imo executive committee of the party because it was the only available option at the moment.
He said, “Imo has been an APGA state since 2003; we won and it was stolen away from us and we could not retrieve it at the tribunal.
“In 2011, we won but it was also a difficult fight because we have to go through supplementary elections.”
He, however, reminded the governor that the government he was taking to APC belonged to APGA.
“We made it clear long time ago that APGA is not in a merger with any political party or association in the country,” he said.
Umeh said the party would uphold the suspension of Okorocha until he apologised to APGA.
